Don't forget to add shadows at the end so it 'pops' properly with those light shades.

I used Vallejo OD in a rattlecan,just too much to airbrush
Impressive...I still resist!

I have been trying to make some vintage type mudguards or Fenders ? for some time now on and off but i just cant get to do what i want in a form i can reproduce for 4 corners. This looks ok for one but 4 the same will be a mission
I cant do compound curves and so its always going to be a compromise. fortunately even manufacturers in the 1920's tended to avoid them as well

What's your heat source? I got nothing for you on making 4 identical. I suppose you'd have to make a former or a mold of some sort.

So here we are a day later and i have 2 front and 2 slightly larger rear mudguards.
i dont know if i can use these but its been a valuable learning experience
I could probably remove the brass bits now the sides are on as they should hold the shape but the brass does at rigidity and might be a good mounting point later
As usual i have no plan so i dont know how they will mount or what they will look like but who cares at this stage

I built a firewall for the old Wildcat years ago. Started with a disk and added a rim with sprue then back filled the inside edge.

I tried to make it in brass but figured out I can do styrene easier. You can cruise through my photos to see what I did, wasn't very good but you get the point. Get your basic shape then fill in the corners and remove the excesses. In this case, you fill in the inside corners and round down the outside.

My whole hobby "shop" has been in such a mess that it reached the point where I just HAD to clean it up and organize everything again. I am about 2/3 done and then I will get the "prizes" built up. Have decided to do up a couple of sets. Multi platter for the CA application, and a regular large one, each with some other goodies. I have to get out into my garage tomorrow, move the Corolla out, move the old bug out of the way, and cut some wood. Had to get my work area cleaned up and organized first as it was totally out of control and I couldn't find stuff.
