I'm home sick- the virus has mutated into a head cold, and I woke up with a sore throat. I'll tinker with the engine on the 509 in between bouts of nose-blowing.

I hope you feel better soon. I find that if I take an antihistamene at bedtime that I sleep a lot better. THat plus 1000 mg of vitamin C seems to make recovery much faster. My sisters and their husbands found this to be he case for them once they tried it.

I think the antihistamen helps so much because you don't wake up all the time at night with a suffed up nose and thus you get much better rest andare able to recover better.

Made it home! Course when I was packing up my laptop someone threw a new issue on me at the last minute. All's well in Norcross GA today.



Bourbon works well Chuck, Wild Turkey has a new line out, American Honey. http://www.americanhoney.com

BiL turned me on to it at Thanksgiving, not sure how well it does on colds but the Gallery should help your spirits.

My favourite cold curing recepy is what we in Sweden call Guldkant, "golden edge". It's 50/50 cognac and arrack punch.
Absolutely wonderful! Two glasses of this and you are cured! Or passed out, and you won't suffer anyway......

I believe that I have complained in this thread about the hopelessness felt being unemployed.
To balance things, I think that I need to tell you about the joy of finding a job as well!
I went to an interview last week, and felt that they wheren't to interested. But....
...today they rang and wanted me to start on Friday, or possibly next week! Feels great!

As usual things hasn't really turned out as I wanted. The start has been postponed two times, only this last week. First, they decided that they needed to wait until the 10:th. Now, today, I was informed that I will not be starting until januari. Can't say that I'm thrilled about this development, but I'm still trying to be positive. On the bright side might be that there will be more spare time during christmas.
