Man that's cheatin', anniversary on 4th of July, you'll never forget that date. :rotf

The Porche JagdTiger by Dragon has been keeping me busy. Just been working on track links. Each track link set has 5 parts and I decided to drill holes and articulate the kit parts. :blink :gogo Have not had any :bang head yet and actually have 10 link sets built that work. The Porche version of the tank really has a weird set of tracks. Every other link is a full link with dual cleats. Then there are the 4 connecting parts, a middle link and 3 skinny single links on the outer and inner edges. Looks really odd, but seems to be working real well. Using some thin copper wire to attach everything together.

Also received my 1st Millenium Falcon shipment last Thursday. Not really much to start with. Spent part of the weekend doing research and rivet counting on the subject and it is going to need a lot of corrective surgery. Mostly it is either blatent screwups like the window under the lazer turret being rotated incorrectly, or missing and wrong details. Some won't be possible to correct until I get more of the surrounding parts so that everything will fit. I have a fair amount of photos taken of the first shipment which had the first 4 "week" sets. In England the sets are sent out weekly instead of monthly. I will say that the build is designed so that folks that have never built a model could probably build this one.

There are also quite a number of Shapeways corrective parts already available. So far mostly interior corrections, but I expect that as more becomes known that there will be more corrective stuff made. For one I have discovered that the laser turret gun units are real incorrect. Being cast in white metal means that there isn't much that can be done to fix them. :bang head So, I will scratch build mine. :blink

Just had a fantastic day teaching my son some modeling Had to force myself not to take over but we had a fun few hours together He even complained when I had to go to the shops Got back and he was still at his table with NO TABLETS OR COMPUTERS OR EVEN TV ON :woohoo: just wayting to build further. Going to be fun building more together tomorow.
