Lottsa painting the last two days.
Both NASCAR's got their springs, radiators and gearboxes painted dull aluminium (Tamiya arylic), both sets of wheels glossy black (again Tamiya acrylic and by mixing the two previous colours I ended-up with a oerfect 'steel' tone for the exhaust dumps.
No chore this morning so sprayed both chassis, cage parts and inside body shells with Xtracolour enamel ADC Grey. Previously I've used Light Compass Grey, but the ADC Grey just seems closer to my eye.
All that now being left to one side until after the weekend to thouroughly cure.

Not so much what's on the bench, but a new location for the bench !!
The Man Cave takes shape:

In the northwest corner of the garden, You can see the aperture/frame for the window, so going to have my bench's directly underneath so I can spot 'invaders' coming down the drive and even see the kids (my kids !!) in the school grounds.
Probably the last major project for a while. Next will be getting some proper grass growing !! - but not for a while.

One regret I have about a detached workshop, I have no running water. Doesn't look like you'll have it unless I'm missing something.

Under the benches is storage ..... when you don't have a garage & your Ex-business Partner has set your yard on Fire ...... burnt your favorite truck, storage shed and some of the House ..... then You must find other places to put stuff .... I choose plastic totes ..... one day they will be opened and the stuff inside will be the Model Railroad I always thought I'd build ......
Before paint booth area ..... I was painting on the floor hard on your back .....

This bench system runs all the way around the room & into the closet ..... One day there will be a double folded loop reverse dog-bone train lay-out ......
I found this box full of scratch-built HO scale Houses ......
This Dale Ernhart plague .... My brother had given Me for Christmas back in the early 2000's
Getting there ....... still have a bit to go ...... the new shelves have helped a lot .....
Now that I have the shelves in ..... I Can start working on the Railroad ..... So you see I've been Busy .....

This is what I'm up to that is taking all my time ..... On30 Module I'm making for the Jefferson, Texas Train Days ......

My On30 locomotive .... & Boxcar .... It is DCC with Sound .....
I installed switch stand & I had to add a HO switch stand ..... for the extra clearance I connected the throw bar with a piece of brass rod .....

I have ballasted the roadbed ...... must be very careful at the turnout points this material will keep the turnout from throwing if your not careful .....

I found these chickens while going through boxes of stuff .... looks like they will be too large or I could say that the pilgrims pride guy has been plumping them .... last photo is of a module that one of the club members ...... Texas Outlaws On30 Yahoo group .... look them up lots of O scale narrow gauge .... :train

I've been trying to find the layout plan all morning ...... Here's the plan not set in stone ....

This is the plan but the outcrop in the middle may have to be moved or movable ..... Cause I need a place to work and that's where my chair is .....

I finished the Turnout Ballast work ......
And the turn out operates Ok for now .... seems I lost a part of the inside when all the gubbins got stuck
From My scenic glue that I had watered down about 200% ......

I bet it will!! The only one of the class to retain the foreward sponsons was Ranger. Forrestal Lost hers in 1962 I believe.
