I know this is not everyone's favorite place (mine either)...but on a modest model budget like mine, gotta take advantage of deals when they come around...there are a couple hundred kits and just under a thousand books at half off...

Using this one for that 1/35 Pillbox:

Grrr...it's the Cyber Hobby LVT-4 Water Buffalo Orange kit including a set of USMC figgies for $20...

Well...they've actually improved the system dramatically...when I just ordered that LVT, it not only said it was in stock, but told how many they had in their inventory which they didn't used to do. As long as you order something "in stock" there usually aren't problems. It's the other times when I've had issues...their prices are usually much better than Squadron's and like now you can pick up some great deals.

Loic, who runs GM, is a little eccentric as well which some folks don't like...but being a fellow Frenchman, I can relate ;)

Some great deals for sure! Guys, keep in mind that the models you just bought are the Italeri molds. Not bad, except for the tracks.

Regards,

Thanks Saul...yeah-- I know it isn't as nifty as the AFV Club one...but I can make it work ;) Are replacement tracks crazy expensive?? If I put this on a beach dio with the pillbox, I may not see much track anyways...

Your best bet is to ask someone for leftover AFV Club kit tracks if they replaced the tracks. Voyager makes a set (CRAZY!), Dave Harper used to sell a set (expensive but nice and already built), Friulmodel has a set, and AFV Club will be releasing one. I will be going the plastic route. However, I already included my vinyl tracks in an Italeri kit I sold.

Regards,

Dragon never made the LVT in 1/35th scale (they have the 1/72nd scale ones out now). However, they have a working deal with Italeri since several Dragon kits appear under the Italian label.

It may be coincidence but the Orange Hobby LVT appeared at about the same time AFV Club announced theirs...

KRYPTO ,

Ask & Ye shall receive !! Aside form our Crack Review staff that We have here at M.A. .... there is an Australian fellow that reviews a lot of different kits & is held in High regard !

Alright- I read that DMV has been making kits for others for awhile. How can you tell if you have one of their molds in a Hasegawa or Revell of Germany kit? or do you have to approach it individually and go by the kits model number?
This is a serious question. Since i found that DMV was box swapping - as I call it- kits around, i have wondered just who's stuff we have been building. Thanks. CR
