Here is my offering a Italeri 3 ton coal fired truck which I will try and depict as a post war general freight sort of thing.

Yes mate beautiful spot at Dingo Beach northwest of Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays. I will get some more photos in the next couple of days when we go down there.

Very interesting ... Is it steam powered or more like a wood burner using a gasifier? Anyway You've got My attention :salute :soldier :popcorn

All the components finished, interior painted up, so far nice and easy little bit rough around the cab but I think it will be OK.

Swordsman from what I have read they ran them on anything that they could get a combustible gas out of.

All didn't end well with my airbrush going to the big modelling desk in the sky when I started to put some colour on yesterday, tried to finish it off by brush but not happy I will try and finish it off when I can buy a new gun.

Cool!

Didn't the germans have a VW that ran off something else during the war as well? Maybe that was coal too.

I guess they got desperate!

:zen :zen :popcorn
If you are looking for a new brush my son got one on Amazon.ca. I decided to cheap out when I went for another brush (my Paasche didnt work out too well) and got this $3700 airbrush he recommended. I am so happy so far I popped for another. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B009UQ48DU/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For $3700 I hope it mixes and applies the paint for you. :rotf

They had a system that heated wood to release the methane, and used that gas to run the engine. Holzgas power!
