1/43 Model Factory Hiro kit. The kit's high parts count, small size, and amazing level of detail make it about the fiddliest model that I have ever tried to build. With the exception of rubber tires and an acetate windshield, the kit is all white metal and photo etch. The first picture is the real thing:









 
The car had a single 2.5 litre/150 cubic inch double overhead cam V8 engine. The DOHC configuration made the heads look huge. The engine was canted to get it as low as possible in the chassis.
 
Wow, ok the overhead cams explain the look. Interesting note about moving the engine to make it lower!

Fantastic job Rob, i love the detail, the wooden steering wheel and the tiny clocks.....and that engine !! That must have been a job because when something is on the slant like that how do you line it up and know you have it right
