Idk. After I stopped laughing at the price, out of curiosity I zoomed in on the pics. I see several basic kit parts that are omitted.
I showed it to my wife and just like that she's all in on me spending all day in the workroom, and told me to work faster...lol.

That price is a "Dream on McDuff" price. I have seen finished ( I mean REALLY NICELY FINISHED) Garage Kit figures that are usually a production number of 40 to 50 at the most AND that finished figure is done by a well known name, AND it has been out of production for a number of years, go for a price from $1200 to $2k. I have several that are out of production that were quite popular and that folks are looking for them that will bring an unfinished price of $500 compared to the $150-$200 they brought when new. These are not recasts, and are in perfect condition. Have not tried to do anything with any of them as I am not where I want to be with painting skills yet.

Trumpeter does weird things, like omitting detailed parts that could easily be seen. Then, choosing to make this winch an eight piece assembly that won't be seen at all once the secondary turret guns are in place.

Yeah, they do interesting subjects, BUT, about 60% of the time they lame ass the details or even the basic shapes on things.

Yep, Trumpeter gave us all the internal plumbing on the Thunderbolt for the superchargers. Interesting lesson on how the aircraft was configured but dang!
