Next on Bench

In full scale the dipole antennas were 0.50 inches/12.7 mm in diameter. In 1/24 scale that converts to 0.020 inches/0.50 mm.

If you can't find brass wire that thin, guitar strings will work.

I know you see Lego here. A buddy who owns hobby store is an ace with 3D printer. Due to size of model, guy I'm building it for likes this idea.

So doing a lot of engine work for not being able to see them. Want to make as accurate as possible.
We all do it, the SE5 has a really nice looking motor but it's going to be closed up except for the valve covers. I know, why bother? Because we know it's in there.

Legos are models too. I used it as a stepping stone for my son to try plastic model building.

I will be adjusting the antenna's on the inboard part of the wing. They were at about a 45 degree angle pointing aft. Wanted to get them in first. I made them all one long rod, so will be easy to adjust them when time comes. Will get back at it this week coming up.

Lego is not a model. Lego is a logical gateway to model making, but models cannot be disassembled and put back together again after they are finished. Lego is a TOY. I like me a Lego kit, but DO NOT call them models. That's just silly!
