ICM Hampden "Churchill's Suitcase"

This one has been started...I've had to use the AK RAF interior gray green paint pen on the interior until some paint arrives from Sprue Brothers...

Looks cramp. :popcorn
Yes, the pilot's seat folded backwards so that an observer could rescue a wounded pilot in flight and take over, if need be.
Model makers in UK rave about this new ICM kit! It's a far cry from the awful 1/48 Spitfire kits they issued initially.
I hope for a new-tool 1/72 scale Hampden kit.

A bit more done before closing things up-- pretty happy with the details. However, the decal for the main instrument panel curled up as I was trying to slide it onto the panel and I could not for the life of me get it straight again so I had to ditch it. Won't see much once things are closed up anyways. Also am reviewing the SAC landing gear set- the SAC strut is on the left and the kit one on the right.

The guys on X sometimes show just the finished build. I like the step-by-step our members tend to show! By all accounts this "Tadpole" kit is very good!

Got some paint on-- need to play around wirth the seams before final coat. Also- it's worth noting the strange shape of the fuselage- which earned it the Churchill's Suitcase nickname. The engine is pretty well detailed- and painted with the AMMO Ionic color line...

Is it me, @Jeeves, or is the nose twisted to starboard?

Yeah, I noticed that something just didn't look straight, but thought it was just how it came through the camera lens.
I had a Tamiya 1/48th P-38F kit (The pre release one I got at the Nats a few years ago) that the twin tails were twisted counter clockwise a bit once it was all glued to the main wing. Both were twisted the same direction and the same amount. It was a pain getting them upright.

The clear parts are weirdly shaped...especially that front piece but you may be correct. What's worse is the lower nose clear part has gone missing...won't be winning any show awards but my aircraft rarely do haha
