Ive wanted this for decades, and now its in my stash! This kit looks smaller than I remember the original- wasnt this in 72nd when Aurora originally released this?
Never the less its here now. Mine came from Hobbylinc and was shipped from Atlanta.
Yellow sprues and one bag of clear covering one side and some domes. Instructions are BIG, an old school and stapled BW booklet with clear instructions and some neat pics of the kit. The back cover has a rather funny (to me) statement of how this kit is sought by Star Wars fans wishing to build the most screen accurate as possible Millenium Falcon or Y Wing, both of which used parts from the original.
It really takes me back owning one of these, Im sure my little brother will be jealous when i tell him!

I am pretty sure this is a new mold made from an original kit pattern. My guess is that the original kit was a "Fit the Box" kit so who knows what scale it was.
I agree with that, online mainly lists the original as 72, though some say 93.
Would make sense they grabbed an original kit and made the molds from that. Still a great thing to re release

Scalemates lists the 1970 Aurora #721 Sealab III kit as 1/93 scale.
I'm willing to bet the eBay vendor with the $1,099.00 price tag is in tears right about now. There could be advantages to having an Aurora original kit over the Chinese reverse engineered kit from DH, but it's probably not $1,020.00 worth of advantage. Fresh decals are certainly a plus! The old school instructions are a blast!

Highest I've seen for the original is just under 500. Man I ignore those top off e bay prices! I would be rich as Elon if I could sell everything for what some of those guys are asking!

Wouldn't we all. I'm moving my surplus model collection on tlarmodels.com I've been putting up sale prices, but when the price is reasonable it seems skeptical model buyers assume there is something wrong with the kit. Prices are steady on truly valuable, collectable, vintage kits, but the everyday models are on sale.
