Comrades I welcome and invite you to join your fellow travelers in the "Red Star Rising" group build. The terms of joining are simple. You may enter any tank, vehical, plane, figure, or ship as long as fits into the cold war era(1951 to 1991) and was behind the Iron Curtin. This is a Warsaw Pact GB only. No NATO gangsters allowed. No middle or far eastern versions either. All entrants who complete their builds will be awarded a ribbon(Order of Lenin) for their efforts so come and join your "Red" brothers and sisters and show your stuff. The build will run from May 1st 2011 until April 30th 2012

I am in as well but haven't decided yet. It will either be:

Tamiya 1/35 T-72
Trumpeter T-62 1962 or
Dragon's BTR-80

I'm in with either a T-55 or T-62, but mine will also be a little later in the year.
 
What to build, what to build. I was thinking of doing my 1/35 Hip 7. But I think I might do a BMD-1 (maybe from RED DAWN) or maybe a Grad 21, or BRDM1. I will look at the pile (40 modern soviet kits) and decide today!
 
This sounds interesting but the only thing I have that would fit is a Mig-15 and I want to finish it as a Korean War bird and that doesn't fit the criteria. Maybe something will come up over the next year that will fit !

Iam going to build a BMD 1 and 2sm6 Tunguska. Maybe more so there!
 
Well, since I didn't finish the Small Scale Group Build, Maybe I can join this one. I just picked up a model of an Mi-6 helicopter that I want to make as a troop transport, camouflaged in the Soviet Army. I also have an Mi-10 I can also do up as a helicopter in the Soviet Army.

If I finish those in time, I have several kits from ACE of Cold War-era Soviet equipment as well.

I await my approval from the head of this Group Build.
 
ohh guys you make me crazy - RED STAR - half of my stash would fit. This could be the point to start the Sukhoi line but I haven't decided yet.Way too many other things to do
