Bob Letterman's daughter Gail posted this link earlier to the Facebook page "Bob Letterman -The master of the large diorama-"

It is all in color from 16mm color film. It is well worth the watch. I told Gail that she should still stop by here and post once in a while as I know some of us would still like to hear from her.

Great bit of film and a good watch on Sunday morning with a cup of coffee I think its a shame the British didnt have these sorts of dedicated film crews but i suspect that the US needed this footage to keep the news reals spinning at home and to keep up the support. The british probably had enough hatred for the Germans anyway as they had been bombed. The sad part is nearly half a million British troops crossed the channel during June 1944 but because we had no film crews it would be easy for future generations to think we weren't even there.

Turns out from reading down below the video on UT that this footage was not seen until fairly recently. Since most of it never had any combat footage, it never went to the newsreels, it just went in the cans and was stored at George Stevens estate. It was discovered after he passed and has now been released.
