I have found one book on the XF5U flying Pancake ad it is a horrible price. I'm looking for any ref photos or drawings, specifically the cockpit and wheel wells. Thanks in advance.

I got nuthin'. I hoped kit instructions would show some detail. Which panacake are you planning for?
The Xf5U. Only one was made and it never flew so I have cart blanc I guess. Will do the blue scheme that everyone shows from my internet search although the star and bar will be located properly unlike the picture.

Ok, but which kit?

Vought seemed to have lost their aircraft designer minds for a time. The Panacake. The Cutlass. (Run for your lives, it's a CUTLASS!!)
In my search, I saw a picture of the XF5-U Panacake boarding ladder. Mother Carey's chickens!

I find it inexcusable that a company offering a modern model of anything in this scale includes such scanty detail! What Felgercarb!
What will you do about a canopy, I wunda. What happens if you rub the friggin' lamp a second time?

Left side plate done and right side printing. Then to print my customary switches and knobs etc by Anyz to see how much different the new printer is. Every printer has impressed me more each time as the definition goes up. We'll see if there is any change from 12K to 16K resolution.
