Thanks, from what I found they mainly used the same breed, mainly horses from Spain but they also used white horses, those white ones are still quite famous in Vienna. A white one will follow

From what I know "War and Peace" is later, it is based on the time when Napoleon was trying to conquer Russia esp. Moskow and this took place round about 1812 where the 7 year war took place 1756 to 1763. a quick search about uniforms Napoleon attacking Russia

well, I've looked on to several images of horses running, and some do look a bit shiney others don't, so the are now as they are
