Got a frantic call from the wife to come and take her and our little fella Lynx to the vet. Seems he had a gash on his back end by the tail. Poor little mite. Vet figures an anal gland got infected and burst. Okay stiches, no problem. What annoys me is all the extras they add to the price. Because we went without an appointment even though there were no other patients there and it was very quite we have a emergency fee. By the way they will get to it later today so no rush. Then a cage fee, then ...... Looking at almost $700.00. Oh but they don't think they will need to hydrate him so we are saving some money. What would a person who is running short do? Would they give the cat back and say sorry???
My poor little man is going to be wearing a cone of shame for a bit and while I have no problem paying to keep him in tip top shape I just find the high cost so disappointing.
