Where I have been the past week...

Joe Hudson

Master at Arms
Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is ok but I would like to share where I have been for the past week. I'm home now and getting ready for the bench but its a proud daddy moment... :yipee

Last Thursday we headed out from St Louis to Annapolis. Friday we visited the Naval Academy. Both of my kids have expressed an interest in attending there when they graduate. We then left there and headed out to Virginia Beach/Norfolk for the AAU Jr Olympics. Both of my kids qualified and were excited to go.

My 13 year old son Ethan does the 3000 meter race walk. Last year he finished 2nd in the nation and this year he again won the Silver medal! This was the only time that he has been beaten all year. We are very proud of all that Ethan has accomplished this year.

Next was my 12 year old son Brody's turn. He ran the 3000 meter race to only miss out on winning the Silver by 6 milliseconds! He took the Bronze and we were so proud. His time was 10:19:090 and the Silver's time was 10:19:084. It was a photo finish! So to wrap it up he finished #3 out of 50.

Brody then had to run the 1500 meters and this time he got boxed in. There were 21 runners in his heat and he used up all his energy to get out and around to only come up short. He ran a personal best of 4:54:17 which was enough to place him 9th in the Nation and out of 76 kids.

Here are some pictures from the week.

Thanks,

Joe
