What to use to thin Mr. surfacer 500?

The tile says it all.
I have about half a jar of this stuff and it is starting to get thick and unmanageable.
The label is in an an alphabet that I am not familiar with. :gogo
? Maybe, ...Tamiya very thin (green cap) glue? :hmmm
Throw me a bone. (y)

Thanks guys,

Bill

What I use is Mr.Color Thinner, since its a product made by the same company as Mr.Surfacer it works great.

Hi Bill.

Not sure what you have in your arsenal but Tamiya lacquer thinner works.

Gunze Mr color thinner and Mr leveling thinner work best work best.

91 % alcohol will remove it but not sure about cutting it .

I would exercise care with commercial thinners as they are hotter and can melt plastic.

Thanks Matrixone, James, and Christian!

I'm sure a thinner from the mfr. would be best. I was just trying to see if I could use something I had.
I'll give them a try.

Cheers, :soldier on.

I have the same thing...I call it Mr. Surfacer 250.

Lacquer thinner should work.

Ha! Know what you mean Tom, think i got some that's down to about 150 by now. Stick a tooth pick in it and it stands up.

Seriously though, you might want to hold on to that and get a new bottle of 500.

The thick stuff comes in handy...
