A photo of LtGen Sir Brian Horrocks, Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery and MajGen Sir Colin 'Tiny' Barber.

MajGen Barber was 6'9" and believed to be the tallest man in the British Army during WW2. FM Montgomery is believed to be 5'7" (although his height seems to still be a military secret) and LtGen Horrocks was about 5'11".

It is an Achilles and there are indeed hatches:

It's a M10C Achilles 17 pdr. The driver and co-driver hatches are there, the periscopes are just visible. Their hatches couldn't be opened when the is rotated forward. The way the turret is rotated in the picture the co-drivers hatch could be opened. The driver and co-driver could get in and out thru the open top turret because there was no turret basket.
