And there's more mud coming ?

Mostly the base and wheels. My idea is to have the rider off, pushing it through a muddy rut, so the wheels will have to have a dark, wet smear on the tread at least, then to tie in I guess I'll need some splotches here and there, but I don't want to go too far.

Interesting idea Now go out & make some mud, sun yer bike thru it & that'll give ya a purty good idea of how & where to smear...
