many moons ago i got some 1mm black tubing in a kit, i cant remember what it was but the best way to describe it was "limp". If i said you could take a yard of it , hold it above a bench then lower it and coil it as it hit the bench under its own weight , that might describe how loose and limp it was. Has anyone come across this ? was it silicon or rubber ?
 
If it was really soft and pliable, it might be silicon. Occasionally I get a watch with silicon gaskets and they are almost too soft.

PS yes I know the frst one is clear, but comes in so many sizes.
