Today was a beautiful spring day here in Blighty. As i lay on the grass in the sunshine on top of the cliffs at beachy head i watched a Spitfire doing victory rolls over the cliffs and out to sea towards France. Along came another, this one had invasion stripes, sure to be a Mk IX i thought.....
1944 ? no but the cliffs at Beachy head are start of the White cliffs of Dover and are the highest and just 30 miles from Biggin hill where there are up to 15 Spitfires based and a few hurricanes and 109s, Four of the Spits and a Hurricane are 2 seaters and do pleasure trips down to the iconic White cliffs of dover for those with enough cash
A great day out if you can afford it and quite fun to watch as the pilots do their best to get the passengers to throw up
