Sorry for the delay , okay I looked but could not find the image you wanted ....... because the late tiger with steel wheels worked on a different suspension layout than the rubber tyred system . Instead of each suspension arm having three seperate road wheels they now have two , these were wider , having the same surface width as the three original roadwheels but without the inherant freezing problems , the wheels while having the same width sat closer to the hull , this design was on purpose so the outer road wheels did not sit outside the width of the hull and therefore did not need to be removed for transport .
Obviously changing tracks was still required but the wheels could stay on making it a far simpler process to change from transport to combat configuration.
So in summary , the outer roadwheels were not removed in practice on the steel wheel variant , only time would be during maintenance .
