The US Army is in the market for a light, unarmoured, air transportable vehicle for use in remote locations. The proposal is based on the Wrangler with mil spec suspension and drive train, diesel engine and modular mission kits. Versions based on both the 2 & 4 door Wrangler have been proposed

Its funny how the military always tries to save money with something that is "general purpose" and then they end up having to get something specialized because the "general" vehicle just doesn't really meet any of the needs! I guess that's why us scummy defense contractors are still in business! :tomato

Oh that's the MUTT. I thought the Humvee was suppose to replace the Jeep.

They will have to take all the plastic off the engine. Loke plastic air intake and plastic valve covers.
