The Beast Killer

Talking about rolling thunder, the jsu-122 absolutely fits in here.

Somewhere on the eastern front, I put it on a very simple base, just to get the right atmosphere.

I think the vehicle is good enough, although the tracks look a little dry on the pictures, they look better in real.

My main goal is to improve the quality of my figures, still working on that.
Well, they dont have to be prize-winners on a figure contest, but at least decent enough to show on a dio.
(what do you think Andy ?)
Hope I succeeded in that, but any constructive comments are welcome.

Nice work,especially the figures,I like the faces and expressions.

What color did you use for the infantry's short jackets and pants ?

PS: the only thing cooler then a 122 ia a 152!! :laugh:

(y) You've done a great job on the figures, i like the look of the faces and uniforms, one thing maybe is to set the tank a little deeper in the mud... but there can be permafrost under so then it's good to hold that beast :D (y)

Thank you all for giving comments. Figures are my weakest side and I really try to improve there.

@Mats:
you are absolutely right about the deeper tracks. I might do that later, but as said, this base was just a "quicky".

@Raiderfan:
I studied about Russian uniforms.
Fact: worst quality of all countries
Fact: there was no thing like a standard color as with Germans or Allies.
Fact: after every clean-wash they faded to every nuance.

Closest base color for me was Vallejo Khaki Grey, but in all shades and mixed with a tad of brown, green, grey or even orange.
Afterwards you might give them some slight washes in these colors or darken/lighten them.
In fact I combined the methods to get some diversity.

So they can vary from very light khaki, almost grey, to all nuances of brown, green etc.
You cant go wrong ;)
