Using a mix of Tamiya Desert Yellow and Deck Tan, about a 75:25 mix, and then mixed 50:50 w/ Tamiya thinner.

Parts are all in the dehydrator now, and hopefully tomorrow evening I'll be able to do the final assembly and then hit everything w/ Future, and then start the weathering, which is going to be very difficult for me. At least its a desert scheme, which I'm hoping will be a little bit easier to weather.

Not a whole lot of progress to report, but there is some.

Last night i was able to get the 2cm gun completely assembled.

I've started masking the wheels so I can get them painted in the next couple of days. Gonna try getting to the Hobby Town near my office at lunch tomorrow, and then paint them either tomorrow night or this weekend. Once that's done, everything will get a coat of future, and then its on to my most favorite thing in the world, weathering.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately made no progress yesterday. I was able to pick up a couple bottles of Gunship Grey at the hobby town yesterday that I'll darken w/ black, to use on the tires, hopefully do that tonight, and then this weekend hopefully future & start weathering. Would like to wrap this one up to move on to other things.

Starting to work on painting my tires, and I'm not sure how far I need to go.

I'm using a custom mix of Gunship Grey & Black, and then dry brushing it on.

This is where I'm at right now, and would love some input on what I should do.

Iron Mike found me a good link on Thursday or Friday for weathering tires, but I was at work, so I dont have the link now, and all the searching I've done, I just cant find the thread he linked me.

Here's the link https://www.modelersalliance.com/forum/weathering/59041-weathering-pt-1-mr-ts-weathering-sbs

The dirt color you used looks too close to the wheel color to me, maybe a little lighter and another dry brush?

Ah, there's my first mistake, it is the same color, haha. Shouldnt be hard at all today to go through and spray a lighter tone onto wheels. I've still got the mixed color, I can add more deck tan, or some buff to it to make it lighter then try again. Thankfully I should have plenty of the tire color mixed up.
