Tamiya 1/35 PaK 40 Diorama

I just completed this Diorama using a built but not completely finished Tamiya PaK40 I've had shelved since the 80's. I got as far as the base coat (Rustoleum Spray Yellow Metal Primer) but never quite found the desire to finish it. About a month ago I determined to complete this build and the following photos document the progress:

The figures are Dragon #6277 and were built for the most part "Out of the Box". -

The fence was constructed using balsa wood cut to shape, glued and painted a base coat of gray -

Once the gun and crew were nearly finished, I began laying out my groundwork -

I use Celluclay as the base for all of my groundwork, it mixes well with PVA Glue and water based paints and the slower drying time better facilitates any adjustments required. I also used it along the sides of the Styrofoam base for effect.

Finished -
