Staghound in Normandy

Hi guys,

I finished up a model the other day for a contest, the actual vehicle is in my Jon's Models thread but I figured I'd post this seperate as that thread's already pretty image heavy.

Copy the image location into your browser to get the full size, I left them pretty big to get as much detail as possible.

the backdrops are printed out and placed behind, much easier than photoshopping!

Hi there.

About six years ago I got out of Candian armour in styrene because there were so few kits of it. I think now that I got out of WW2 Canadian armour a little too soon.

That Staghound model is *AWESOME*! I love the look of the folded tarps and other items on the fenders. What did you make those folded items out of? Your photography is also top notch!

Hey Peter,

The stowage is made from Magicsculp putty. I did a video on how I do it, the link to my channel is in my sig. Ken's done one too - he doesn't use putty. It's horses for courses though, I like putty because I get to roll it out like plasticine and it takes me right back to when I was a kid :laugh:

There is an absolute ton of awesome allied stuff in styrene these days... it's the olive drab revolution mate! Get in on the act !

That looks terrific!
The AFV itself is bonzer, but the colours you have developed in the 'shrubbery' adds a cool visual element. The backdrop tricks the eye well for depth in that last pic especially...

:laugh: yeah thats me, though just lately I haven't been very active with the camera.

I have taken time out to get this model ready for a contest, I will be back behind the lens soon enough. I'm doing 40k stuff for some of the viewers, it's kind of fun but I am no wargames modeller...can't wait to get my motivation back and do some more ww2 stuff.

You actually sold me some of the foliage material you see there.

I bought some bags of the ground cork type from you at the 2008 IPMS UK show and some of the old style ground foam at the 2007 ! I always stop by for some gear from your stall mate.
