Spitfire sim Build

I found this while looking for info on spitfire cockpits. This guy is a Sim fan but is building a mock cockpit to sit in while playing.....
Have a look at the cockpit section pages on the left here and see what he is making !! He is a tool maker like me.

A full size E.S. that you could sit in? The Martin Baker seats the German F-104's had was huge-I dont think it had arm rests either.

This page was ambitious, what would one do with a full size mock up?
 
I've seen commercial setups for hard core flight sim enthusiast. Shoot, I remember LongbowII chopper sim would make use of a monotone ISA video card and display the radar output on a 5" monitor if you had the setup. Lord knows what they have today.
