My place holder for this campaign is the 1/32 scale Sopwith Dolphin kit from Wingnut Wings :pilot

Being a slow builder I hope I can get this done within a year lol

Git'er done.

Are you going to try the aerodynamic wires? I read that's the thing to with the Allied aircraft but I can't figure out how they keep them inline.

I do have some of the flat elastic product that WNW recommends for just that, Ive never tried it before and its only my second WNW kit so Im going to have to cross that bridge when I get to it I think. Im finishing up a Roland aircraft at the moment so ive no idea when I will get started on the Dolphin.

Awesome. Looking forward to watching this build. I have 3 Dolphins and am just waiting for some decals to come. My first will be a Canadian bird. Looking forward to seeing how it goes together.

Radu Brisnan makes some flat wire and end connectors in PE if you are looking to do the aerodynamic rigging. I'd just go with the elastic thread or fishing line.

Thankyou James,
I admit I am a bit fazed by the rigging but hopefully it will work out. A Canadian bird would be a very welcome adition so I hope your make a start in the near future.
Those etch rigging lines look impressive but perhaps a bit to advanced for me at the moment so I will stick with elastic and CA.

Soon I will. Here is a not bad movie for rigging.

You can get eyelets and tubing from Bobs Buckles http://bobsbuckles.co.uk/ He is fast and friendly but it will cost a bit. Alternately get some Albion tube and make your own tubelets. The take a dowel and paperclip. Stretch out the paperclip and then cut a 1 inch maybe 2 inch piece. Bend it into a ? and glue it into the dowel. Then using .020 wire twist your own eyelets.

I've been down the rigging route with the Eindecker several years ago, not really worried about doing it, like the elastic string over any others. Can't seen doing the PE stuff, I mean really, if someone is going to check of the rigging is aerodynamic I think I can tell them what to do with it.

Hi Mike,
My wife brought me the Roland over 2 years a go and I kept taking it out and looking at it and then putting it away again, in the end I just cracked it open and started, Ive made minor mistakes but Im glad I started it as its starting to look like it should.
