As long as one have fun building, the quality is not the most important, but i like your builds, especially the ferdinand elephant (y)

Looks good to me. Anyways its all about enjoyment. If you're not having fun you're not doing it right.

thank you for your kind words. i agree it is all about fun. although when i build my wife asks me when i will start having fun.

Hey man,

You have done some very good things there, dont push yourself down.
And I echo the others: its all about having fun.
I respect every modeler, he does the best he can with blood, sweat and tears, never underestimate that.

Mate thoese build's look sweet to me. (y)
I have never built a dio so If I can get mine to look like them I will be a happy boy. :yipee

thank you for the kindness.

please dont think i am running myself down, not the case really. i just see and know the flaws. when i look at the builds of those that i have come to respect i dont see the same flaws. none of my work is sound when it comes to the basics of modeling. i struggle with some of the basic stuff. i am still learning. you might say i started running before i could crawl. i scratch built an atat several years ago yet struggle to fill seams. i tend to put a moderate amount of scratchbuilding into many of my a/c builds yet i struggle with getting two kit pieces to mate up the way the instructions tell me to.

look good Joe, I don't see anything wrong with your style. we are our own worst judges.
Life is good!

i definitely am my own worst critic. i was the traditional loner when it came to model building. it wasnt until the very late 80's and early 90's that i found others that were builders. it wasnt until the late 90's that i learned any of what some would consider the most basic of techniques. i believe my first "painted" model was in the late 90's. just never had the ambition nor the motivation to try to make my builds better. then in the early 2000's well i got into trying everything and anything and like i said some of it worked and well some of it didnt.

Your models look great. Keep at at it.
Everybody is learning. That is part of the process. (At least for me )
Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Bill

They are looking good,Joe!
And trust me when I say your models will even improve by looking at what others do here on Modelers alliance
modelers around here are not afraid to share their 'model secrets'. :D

Talking about 'model secrets',...how the heck did you do that cracked patchy snow on your Panzer IV base?
I for one like that very much. (y)

Greetings,Ron.

that was the result of spraying the aerosol snow that you can find at walmart. the cracking was what happened when it dried. really was a screw up on my part.

I saw that also, just assumed it was one of those things that everyone knows and I shouldn't ask about...

Does look good! :coolio

Joe:

Those are some fine looking armor pieces you got there. I even like the weathering job you did on each of them.
