Some in-progress pics of painting my new backdrops

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

nsmekanik,
I plan on just adding a few trees to the backdrop with darker more intense colors to better match the trees on the photobase, it won't be perfect but will make a difference.

Ron,
Yes most all of the painting was done with an airbrush, I wanted everything in the backdrop to look softer and slightly out of focus so less attention will be on the background and more attention placed on the model being photographed.
Try painting one of these backdrops because its not really that hard to do and if you make one out of poster board paper they are very inexpensive, maybe for your first one just start out with a basic blue sky and a grass green field. The backdrops I just finished painting are third generation, my first backdrop was not very good but I learned a lot from it and the most important thing was I had fun doing it. (y)

These are stunning. You've come a long way. If you're the same Matrixone, I was inspired by your airfield pics on FSM; I've been wanting to do something like that with a photobase for my models.

You know, if you have extra time to paint more; you could make a little extra modeling cash by selling a few of those. I know I'd buy some.

Thanks Duke!

Yes that was me at FSM a few years back, I am quite amazed anybody would remember any of my earlier work. :)

Well, they were amazing work even back then. These new backdrops are far and away better than back then, but your airfield was always something I wanted to do as well. Glad to see you back and still plugging. If I can get a decent photobase to shoot my model pics on, I may just offer to buy one of your backdrops for it.
