looks like it, they look like a type of flared fitting- that is one evil looking gun- wonder what the little scoops are coming out of the middle?
Indeed it is part o the water cooled gun system and the 'jai alai' tubes shoot out spent cartridges.

I need to look a bit closer into modern armor, i didn't know this existed- until now my favorite tank was the flak-panzer with the quad. This just takes it to another level. Thanks for starting something Ed! :fencing
