Couldn't resist this new release by Polar Lights:

It's based on the one sheet of Forbidden Planet, Robbie carrying Anne Francis even though that scene never appears in the film.

It's an update to the old Aurora mold, a few new sprues, the legs and the figure mostly, the older pieces are pretty dated.

It was hard to tell how the seams were coming together based of the plastic color and some discoloration in the plastic on the edges so I left some spots for touch up after priming:

The top was all old kit and the fit is a real dog:

Overall it's a neat kit...
 
Very cool. Looks like it requires a bit of effort, but I'll bet it comes out looking awesome. :popcorn :D
