AIRPLANE MODELERS!
i HAVE COME INTO POSSESSION OF THE collection of books, magazines, (koku-fan, scale modeler, fine scale modeler, Air Combat, Aviation International,) from My Friend, Chuck Sterns, who took his trip up to Heaven, 20 Mar 2012. I can't think of a better way to pass along Chuck's legacy, than top put these in the hands of Modelers, who will continue to use & enjoy these missives, and pass them on to others in the fullness of time.

Impart to me your heart's desire, and I'll dig for them. Look forward to some sort of listing as I get a chance to disseminate the huge volume of material in days to come.

Price? I'll sell these to you, for the same $$ I paid for them. NOTHING!!. If ya wanna send $$ for postage, that'd be swell!

If you're local to ames/desmoines/Indianola Iowa area, we WILL have to share a Cocktail, and tell stories. :pilot :snoopy
Happy Modeling! Watch out for the dog poop!

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

Very generous of you Rhino, what do you have for someone looking to do a Elco 80' PT boat sometime in the distant future?

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

Cool. I like the Kokofan books. They are quite nice.

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

I'd be interested in older issues of FSM, depending on what you've got.

Beyond that, I have several things I've been keeping an eye out for, but don't really know what I'm looking for until I see it, so definitely looking forward to your list when you have it.

I would definitely be willing to help defer the cost of shipping on anything I might get, as it would only be fair.

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

If you will find books or monographs about air war over Korea 1950-53, Finland 1939-44 or Malta 1940-43 i will willingly accept them and I will cover shipping costs.

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

there is a box of nothing but Koku-fan. Any certain volumes?

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

Adam,
There are YEARS of FSM. Any certain issues? I'll work on this Tuesday and be back in touch

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

I know there is something for you. I'll dig, and get back to you.

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

I'll have a look-see. There is a lot of airplane stuff. I truly haven't space or desire to keep all mu Friends tresures. It will bring his widow Judy happiness to know others are enjoying Chuck's books.

Re: refernces, magazines, 60 years of modeling stuff.

I'd have to look and see. I keep a lot fo them in binders, and see. I have almost every issue I know, since about 1998, but I do know I'm missing a few, and then I've only got a handful from the early 90's & before.
