Since Trumpeter offers two options to build, will you build the second option without the turret? I believe this is the more mature option (closer to production standard). I discuss it in detail, along with some hints and tips, in my review on Track-Link:

I had some great help with research from both Thomas L. Jentz (on the telephone) and Bruce Crosby (via Messenger). Bruce designed the Accurate Armour kit which seems to be an "inspiration" to the Trumpeter kit.
