Fort MacMurray is burning down. Hope everyone is safe. Thoughts and prayers to all those who have lost almost everything.

And especially thoughts and prayers to the fire fighters who face a blazing wildfire out of control.

That looks like a very bad fire ... My prayers for all the brave responders ... Don't know what We would do without these Folks ... I hope this is brought under control soon ... praying for those who have lost it all ... :zen :zen :zen

The Martin Mars is joining the fight. It will be based on Gregoire Lake starting Saturday.

It can scoop 27,000 litres (7,200 US gals) in 35 seconds in a distance of 3 miles.

Cheers,

So just sitting here and reading and listening to more news on Fort Mac. We had smoke roll in a couple of days ago and tonight there is some more. And hoping the fire fighters and military people up fighting this beast are okay. Also hoping that more can get out of the way. The word is this fire could double soon. As it is I found a terrifying article giving the area transposed onto city maps which might put the size in perspective. It is here

But just as a sampling.

So again asking for thoughts and prayers for those affected and if you wish the Red Cross is taking donations to help those displaced.
