There is a Spitfire in Adelaide, South Australia, here's the link to the South Australia Air Museum.

That Spitfire was found in Papua New Guinea, brought home (crashed there in the WW2, 1943 or something) all at the expense of a guy called Langdon Badger who joined the RAAF immediately after WW2 and so on. I met him in person, he's a nice fellow who paid over $1M to restore that bird.

Worth looking at (I hope). They also have Engine Run days, and the roar of that Merlin ... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
