Thanks all. Okay I used AK Interactive German Grey set today for the first time ever. Not sure what the filter did, I'm not sure I actually saw a difference. Used the wash and even though I watched Washed Fading and Oils by AK Interactive a number of time, it didnt turn out as I expected. I used the wash and after a few minutes used a spirits dampened brush and tried to get up the excess. All I seemed to do though is spread it around. I then tried the grime streaks and same thing. This will take a lot of practice. Do you think I pooched the paint job??
Hull and running gear to be painted tomorrow and track started.

Would appreciate critiques or thoughts.

PS anyone building this there are some misnumbered parts. Parts A27 fitting on the plates at the front of the glacis panel are actually C17. Quite a stretch there.

Okay so I guess it must be going okay. So have started the hull. Next up is markings and then satin coating it ready for the ak stuff.

IMNSHO you nailed the look of (almost) factory fresh grey!

this will be looking killagood with some black and white fading plus brown washes ...

Okay I have given this a lot of thought today. Even though the tank looks very dark I have oversprayed with a lighter shade. Its still dark which loks good to my eyes according to pics I have seen. So I'll leave it. Next up is a philter then weathering. Will work on tracks tomorrow. I'll post a link to some pics which I think bear out my paint job.

Okay trying with more lighting. The dirt wash I started looks very subdued in real life. Just as the hi-lights do. With this extra lighting it looks really dirty. Oh well.
