Nope I'm kind of wrong again. I guess they could wear the pressed metal wheels.

Made some progress on the limber. I hav every little in the way of good refs for this so here is where it is so far. I had to alter the box with new sides and move the front side up a little. Here are comparison pics between the old and new

I have a revell 1/72 german artillery set, on my old diorama 12y. ago. I remember rubber parts and figures, not very easy to sand and work with :S ...

OK,another request. Does anyone have the AFV club LfH18/40 late version or the 75mm Pak that theyw ant to part with or trade? Or also,the old,out of production Italerei Horse drawn convey kit? Either that or the 2 seperate kits that made up that set. The horse drawn ambulance and the horse drawn supply wagon.

Personal account from an Infantry soldier that crews Artillery. It's a fast read with some really Great pictures - from every day life to some Choice shotz of th Cassions etc. !!!

Jerry , hope I'm not too late .......................

The ref. pic. you're using is an ammo limber used to hook up to a wheeled or tracked vehicle .

The camo ref pic. is the one you should be refering to for horses ............ see the two bars with rings for the traces for the horse rigging .
The single tree for the horses slides into the tube in this pic .

The pic. you're using doesn't have these and has a different " hook up " attachment on the end of the tube .
This is a modified arrangement to use for vehicles .


Sorry man , my fault for not making this clear ............
Both are field type mods so you shouldn't be in to much trouble , actually both appear to be made to be used for either horses or vehicles .

Wow! More cool pics. I agree that I think the vehicle hook up is a field mode but I think my limber was purpose built as a light wieght replacement for the older all metal limber. In fact,if you read the caption it says it is the 18/40 version which goes with the LfH18/40 light weight field piece. I also submit 2 great pics,one from you and one from France. I am convinced that these were taken by American photogs at a surrender event. The first is a gun in full regailia being towed. The second is the same type of gun with a portion of a limber in the left foreground and one in the background after surrender or abandonement. I think surrender because of the trucks full of GI's and civilian women. Could be wrong. Fantastic pics though and I really appreciate it.
Any word on those hores drawn kits?
