What specifically do you need ?
Heres what I do with all my chaps basecoat then I outline all the edges and seams with a suitable darker colour I may also get into the creases to help with the shading. Tidying up can be made later on.

on pages 3 and 4 you can see where Ive painting very dark colours then painted over the top with the base of red
Looking at the pictures I would say that, and this is just my own opinion, that the basecoat is a bit light and it doesnt give you room to bring out the highlights or make adjustments. Same with the trousers use a darker basecoat painting in the hard creases and seam lines and then work your way out with the light colours
