You got some spots that the camera is picking up but i know you see those. I could see some more browns on the highlights of the pants, maybe darker in the recesses. So far so good I think but what do I know?

What specifically do you need ?
Heres what I do with all my chaps basecoat then I outline all the edges and seams with a suitable darker colour I may also get into the creases to help with the shading. Tidying up can be made later on.

on pages 3 and 4 you can see where Ive painting very dark colours then painted over the top with the base of red
Looking at the pictures I would say that, and this is just my own opinion, that the basecoat is a bit light and it doesnt give you room to bring out the highlights or make adjustments. Same with the trousers use a darker basecoat painting in the hard creases and seam lines and then work your way out with the light colours
On a final note, I hope youre having fun with this guy

I was trying the Scale 75 blue set and painted the base over a very dark blue. Then followed their instructions. I tried something different in that I filled a paint cup with water and then added a brush of each colour mixing it up. Then I applied washes for the hilites and the shadows building up. I think the pic might be too stark. The brown pants look okay to the human eye, but blotchy and washed out in the pic. I guess I didnt achieve the look I was trying to paint. I guess strip it and try again later.

Why not carry on with what you have
I try and avoid that wash technique unless its like to do a very very dark wash in the final stages of the figure as it comes out like you say very blotchy even with the addition of a flow enhancer
