Howdy Folks
The first head:

I was so careful getting his iris just right but then after two hour of work they're gone :bang head
To the naked eye the eyes look fine though. It's that dang cameras fault. :D

Cheers

The last guy sorta looks like Nicholas Cage, there's one of the others who looks like Lee Marvin. Is that Edward G. Robinson too? Looking great, Tony!! What are you using for flesh tones?

Hi Mike
Flesh tone base is LifeColor and there are five oil colors that were used for shading.
Thanks but the eyes would have made it look better.
I'll try to paint them back in tomorrow.

Later buddy

Do I like LifeColor? Well yes and no. They seem to have the colors closer than most brands, they brush paint better than Tamiya but not as well as Vallejo and you've got to have just the right mixture of thinner and air pressure for them to spray well without drying at the AB tip.

You know you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Great work so far Tony (y)

Mike about Life color,
I agree with Tony they have a very good color chart.
But the bottle cap has always been an issue on Life color, they can dry out quickly even in bottle. :bang head (I have 3 bottles solid rock maby more like rubber  "New" )

All the best!
Dusan.

So these are the first figures you ever did? :woohoo:

You are a man of many skills,TL!!!

Greetings,Ron.

Sorry but sometimes the forum doesn't show that there's been a response to your post.
Thanks everybody,i'm surprised myself that it's showing promise.
I reapplied the eyes, they don't look as well as the first time but are good enough for government work.

There just ain't alot of room to work in there. :D

I should say this is impressive!!

I would ass a little more higlihghts, but has to be of your taste

one trick that could help is to apply a tiny amoint of blue or green (or whatever colour you like) in the middle of the pupils.

It will make a lot of difference.

Ciao

Giovanni

Tony great stuff !

Giovanni, I love it that you are helping our campaigners with their builds, thankyou (y)

You are so right Andy, Giovanni been invaluable to me for sure.
I'll say that i've got a real respect for figure painters now James.

Giovanni with these cheap brushes i've got I did good just to get what you see.
Maybe when those good brushes come in i'll see what I can do about some color on the iris. :eek:hmy:

I'm at that crawling stage right now
Thanks for the fine compliments my friends
