The nose guns should be here tomorrow and once those are installed the fuselage can go together and things should come together quickly.

I'm not dead yet 🤢 Shortly after my last post I came down with some sort of creeping crud and after a few day with symptoms similar to the dreaded Covid 19 I got tested. Tested negative for 19 so I assumed it was probably just the regular flu and assumed it would run it's course and I'd be back up to speed but two weeks later I wasn't any better so I checked in with my pill pusher. They wouldn't see me in person because I was running a low grade fever but after a virtual appointment it was determined that I most likely had bronchitis. A new one for me in fact I haven't so much as a head cold in over ten years (I guess it was my time) So far I'm half way through a course of antibiotics with some improvement but not a fast as I had hoped. The mosquito fuselage is together and just needs some primer to check a couple areas but right now my lungs don't feel like dealing with paint fumes so it may be a while yet.

Hope yo feel better soon Gary but good to see even when under the weather your priority is still your latest model :)

Your doing a great job and don't forget to take care of yourself. Us old farts don't heal as fast as we used to. Gary S. XLV MMXXIV

Thanks for good wishes but the tale continues... My doctor said that if I didn't feel better after I finished the meds to go get an X-ray. It showed something in one lung but not enough detail so a CT scan was next. The day following the scan I get a call from the doctor telling me to go to hospital, do not pass go, do not collect $200. So off I went and spent the next 5 days get pumped full of antibiotics and the usual pokes and prods. They finally decided they needed to scope out the lung. They spent an hour and a half in there using some really sophisticated stuff and took a bunch of samples for biopsy. They were able to identify what the infection was and sent me packing home. They found no malignancy in any of the samples and a nearby lymph gland was checked and found to be normal. I'm on two antibiotics for the next ten days which they think will knock out any residual inflammation. Of note, the spot on the CT scan looked enough likeTB that out of an abundance of caution I was put in an isolation room with negative pressure ventilation, no visitors allowed and anyone coming into the room had to wear N95 masks. Been home since Tuesday afternoon and feeling a bit better but still don't have much energy. I lost 20 pounds during the month of February. Also the stuff they gave me in the hospital screwed up my sugar readings and I'm still trying to get them back to normal. Nothing is ever easy.
Thanks again for your well wishes, hoping to get back to the bench soon.

Well, I seemed to have lost six weeks, feeling pretty much normal again (as normal as it gets at 73) Trying to get caught up with all the life things I've gotten behind on, and being drug outside to deal with the green stuff and other things has not allowed me much bench time of late. I have managed to get both of my covid sticks with no issues. I'm to the dekkel stage on the Mossy, more photos soon along with some other non related things I got tempted away with. Glad to see this campaign is still open and for me I'd like to see it run continuously as of last count I still have at least a dozen night fighters still in the stash and at the rate I build that's several years worth.

Thanks for all the well wishes, they did help !

As promised a progress photo, paint and dekkels on, found it hard to get a good shot of a glossy black aircraft and still show the dekkels.
