Monks at the Monastery

JamesOLeary

Master at Arms
This is something totally different from what I normally model, but I think it will be a quick and relatively easy project. I recently won a few auctions and these kits were included in the lots I had won. The figures are from DES and the base is from Nimix.

I thought they would go together well to create a nice vignette.

Once I get the figures cleaned up and the base totally put together and fill the gaps, I will prime and paint.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
James

54 mm, is that essentially 1/35?

James, do you mostly brush paint figures that small, or air brush, or both??

Hmmm...the Three Stooges as monks...that would be funny.

54mm is more like 1/32 scale but can still work alongside 1/35 scale figures.

I brush paint all of my figures and most vehicles, especially if a M113 has open hatches and ramps. I have a pretty decent airbrush that I have used on one vehicle and some vegetation, but have yet to use it on a figure. On a larger scale figure I might give it a try someday. I think other than priming and perhaps applying the base colors, it would be difficult to paint an entire 1/35 scale figure.
