MMM 2025 Starts in one week

And I deal with this tiny stuff every day all day long...

Tiny screws on dime.jpg

These 2 watch screws are in a special package and yes the one is literally half the size of the other and the dime is setting about 1cm under the screws. If you look close, you can see the shadows of the screws on the dime's surface.

I was just reminiscing and thought about our Efrican friend SADave. He used to do some of the ribbons and was an interesting part of MA. I know South Africa is in a real mess these days.
What brought him to mind was I read something in the news about wht South Africans seeking asylum in the US. Hope he and his family are OK and if the asylum thing is real, hope he can get it and maybe join us again.

second that!

ah, and wanted to edit, that I have a Ju-88 in 1/144 - I think - might be the time to try this thing ...

I got the Mk II Eyeball upgrade a couple of years ago (cataract surgeryon both eyes). Now it isn't always a little foggy everywhere and night driving doesn't look like a hyperdrive jump.

Cheers,
RichB
I got one eye done and I'm now reading without readers. Need to get the other done. Planning on that upgrade this year.

I keep in touch with the mad effreikan. (@SA Dave) and just chatted with him a few days ago. He and his family are doing fine and have just purchased a new home! His kids are academic wizards and doing wonderful in school. He constantly reminds me that western side of SA is a great deal different that the Northeast. They are currently going through blackouts (again) so there is always concerns that we in the US/Can/AU/NZ and Europe don't usually have in our lives.

@SA Dave Glad to see you are still around Dave! Have read things in the news and have wondered how you and the family are doing. Glad you stopped in to say "Hi!". You have been missed.
