Hi there folks.

Has anyone used the above? and what's their experience of it? I did a test run on a spare wheel I had lying about and I dunno I'm just not convinced by it, it's not "right" but I cant put my finger on it.

I followed the instructions on the tub, 30% plaster 30% resin 40% pigments, but it's not quite right IMO.

Any advise chaps?

Heres some shots of a muddy roadway using the same only more quantities of pigment, I think I made the road first out of putty or plaster then added the the paste over the top

I hope that helps you in some way

Andy :)

Oh yeah forgot to say that I dabbed it on using and very stiff brush that gives you good effects when laying down the paste

A :)

Andy,

While that is still wet, I would tap on some dry pigments, let it all set, then tap it all off, and apply some pigment fixer.

I see... so the idea would be to apply the resin and pigments seperately... that may work, and also be more economical, as you'd need less pigments to coat the surface than you would mixing it in....

Thanks for the advice guys, this is what I was looking for.

I think it might depend on the look you were trying to achieve?

I've used it all mixed as per the instructions and the finished result was a wet looking mud. I've also applied pigments to it after placement and it looked more like dried mud.
