Messing around w/snow camo

Okay.
I finally got around to doing some snow camo testing. A roughly 50/50 mix of Tamiya white and thinner. This was sprayed on around 20 PSI. I tried it at a lower PSI,but hardly none would come out. I think my fine needle may be bad. :idonno

First pic,I scrubbed off a lot maybe 15 minutes or so after I sprayed it on.

Second one, just a but of brushing off, maybe 30 minutes after being sprayed on.

Third pic.
I hit some of the rivets, and also around the door. To the right of the door,I left it alone.

What are your thoughts on this? :drinks

I think you could use any combination or all 3, depending circumstances. First, I think you should consider what is happening to or has happened to you AFV; is it early winter?, late winter? been in battle? held a defensive line for a while? just coming out of depot maintenance? .

In other words make up a story (some call 'em scenarios) for you vehicle and that should give you a handle on how much or little to weather your winter white. :v Good Luck

Thanks Prop Duster. :) I know the suspension area would show more wear quicker.

we applied our white wash with big wide brushes. it was a pretty sloppy mess when we finished.

the test looks good though!! :dude

Looking good, but try once with thinned tamiya white and brush it on, gives a really nice effect.

You can make different patterns, like this russian one http://wio.ru/tank/gal2/su-76.jpg
