M4A1 Sherman at Cape Gloucester

Cape Gloucester saw several "firsts" for the Corps. First use of the M1 Garand as an issue rifle, and first use of the M4 tank. These came from US Army stocks in Australia, hence the OD paint.

This is a Tasca kit that sort of built itself while I watched. The only additions I made were the tool straps from paper and wire buckles, and the tow cable twisted from copper wire.

Tamiya paint, Od and red brown.
