Yeah the tool freak just got some more tools. These are a mix of tools for watch repair that will also get used for hobby and then some for just hobby.

I also picked up a set of mainspring winders for watch mainsprings. A set from Switzerland will run up to about $1700 for equivalent to what I just got.

And this is what $1700 gets you

I think I got one heck of a deal.

I told @Greg Kimsey about my Metallic Details Ukrainian distributor when discussing his upcoming 32nd scale Gloster Gladiator project and, lo and behold, me next order arrived! Yet, there was a mistake but Damir states he'll make good on it.

How did this get in here? Is Damir thinking like @jknaus that if something is sent to me I will then get the necessary item?

I don't know of any Skyraider sharkmouths...

Anyway, as to the reason for my order? Guess!

This last box held this very small item, which stated 12 pieces but more than that was in the set.

OK, I forgot to mention this but the first painting of @centaur567's SPH-4 helmet needed me to strip it in the ultrasonic cleaner. My gorgeous wife then decided to spend the extra $1USD and get the better paint from the same company. Left is old, right is right! Pigment seems much finer so will try it soon.

Dopey me found these on Squadron for less than half the regular retail, even cheaper than in Europe, so stocked up:

Am I the only one noticing Hobby Lobby's hobby supplies are dwindling? They use to stock Mr Surfacer, took a dedicated trip to town just to get a can and maybe a Mocha Cream Cold brew...only to return with the cold brew. I'm really going to have to order everthing online?

Bought them based on the good reviews by someone who has his own line of expensive paints.

Paul, i have the brass vice it came from inncraftsman, now called MYLXOM at about the same price and of course i have the little block clamp vice. when i was toolmaking we used Zeus tables that came in a flip book style with plastic pages so the they didnt go soggy with cooling fluids on the lathes. Those look like some of the stuff found in Machinery's Handbook. I picked up a reasonably priced copy of Machinery's edition 24 a short while back. It is about 2 1/2 inches thick and has a bit over 2500 pages. I have started placing sticky markers (like small post it notes) on pages that I use a lot.

This rri8ved yesterday. I guess I ordered it to go with the Spitfire Mk I PR Type A.

It came with a gorgeous print that I will need to get framed.
