I built the Spit at the beginning of the year having memories of an excellent kit but i reality it was a bit disappointing 20 years on. Very soft on detail and missing some key detail all together. I have always been a fan of Aires and Eduard but you have to go in with your eyes wide open because parts will not fit OTB but can be made to fit with careful planning. That said the eduard FW190 engine was just physically to big for the revel model and there was nothing you could do with it short of cutting the whole front of the engine off to get the cooling fan inside the cowling. Hopefully their 3D stuff is better than their resin castings.

Eduard's 1/32 scale inventory includes the Bf 109E-3, Bf 109E-4, and the Bf 108. "

I can tell you from experience that these kits, prior to the Mustang, are nowhere near the quality and the reason you didn't see a new kit (the Bf 108 is from another's molds) after their Bf 109 series. Sort of the same happened after their 1/35th Jagdpanzer 38 and their 1/16th Schwimmwagen kits.

As for the Bf 109, I kept my Dragon Wings kit (and Kotare's new one will be better). This Mustang is exquisite.

I posted a video about the Pilot Schooner Wander Bird rounding Cape Horn a while back. At one point, the main character told a story about dropping several of his mom's brass Dory shaped ashtrays over the side, thinking they would certainly float.
I watched the YouTube vid twice and enjoyed it immensely! After that, I discovered that I lacked the ability to continue Life without a brass Dory of my very own.

I picked this up [at the show I was selling artwork at last weekend]. Got it for $160 USD.
I was never going to get one of these in 1/16 because it was too expensive down here (usually around $360 USD), but this was to good to let go.

My CT-114 Tutors have arrived and all I can say is WOW!!! They are awesome. For the first kits from this company everything is above and way beyond well done. The boxing, the fantastic instructions, the awesome print jobs are all of the highest quality. For their first product they have set the bar very high. https://www.joycraft.ca/

I got a few more tools from Temu. These were mostly cheap. I also got some more expensive type dial indicator units for Bore diameter, hole depth, and a 1/8 thick set of parallels, that I'm not showing unless someone is interested.

My Makera CNC is in route by FedEx. It is in a 35x23x19 crate, and weighs in at 88 pounds. FedEx says tomorrow, My guess is going to be Monday, but we will see. I will get it loaded in my van and open the box in the van and move it in from there which will be more manageable.

It's here, so time to get my rear in gear and learn Blender and the Makera tool paths program.
I am going to finish my howitzer first though.

There is also a laser engraver module. Not sure if it will cut through much, but everything on this will be a learning curve. At least I do have experience with my hand operated table top mill so that thought process is all good. The rest is going to be all experiment when I get around to it.
The sad part is that there are now some 5 axis CNC units popping up. Not sure if I will ever get into this to that extent, and as expensive as this one was, those 5 axis units are about double what this one has been and it came with a LOT of goodies and extras that I bought. In some ways I wish I would have gone for the Carvera unit which ran a bit tighter tolerance, is larger, and has an automatic tool changer. This is a great unit to get started with. If I really get into using it, and find a need I might go for one of the fancy ones down the road.
